Ocean City, Maryland is a favorite vacation spot for thousands of people. Each year thousands of people flock to Ocean City’s beaches to soak up the sun. There is also tons of opportunity for entertainment in the OC. Plenty of people have Ocean City on their bucket list, find out why you should too.

The Beach
The beach in Ocean City is like no other. Running along the entire 10-mile coast of the island, it is not hard to find a place to spread out your beach blanket. if you like a rowdier beach atmosphere check out the south end of Ocean City. If you prefer a quieter beach environment head north past the boardwalk. Bonus, the beaches are free!

The Boardwalk
Even if you aren’t going to be in Ocean City long you should check out the boardwalk. This three-mile stretch of boards has the Atlantic Ocean on one side and a mix of hotels, restaurants and shops on the other. Like any boardwalk the ocean City boardwalk also has some great amusements.

Miniature Golf
Regardless of the season you visit Ocean City you should definitely check out a mini golf course. The city has a variety of putt-putt courses each with a different theme. Its a great activity for singles and families alike.

Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum
If you want to learn a little bit about the history of the area this is the perfect place to do it. Here you will see artifacts recovered from old shipwrecks and exhibits dedicated to Ocean City’s development.

Trimper’s Rides and Amusements
Trimper’s has dominated the amusement scene of Ocean City since the late 1800s. They have more than 100 rides both indoors and out. They have rides for big and little kids.

Assateague Island National Park
If you want to get away from all the tourism in Ocean City this is the place to go. This island begins just south of the resort area and it stretches all the way to Virginia. The island is famous for its herds of wild horses.

Ocean City Factory Outlets
If you want to spend a day shopping away from the boardwalk check out this shopping center. Located just north of the Ocean City Gateway, this shopping center has plenty of places to eat and shop.

Ocean City Golf Club
This large golf club is home to two different courses. The older of the two courses is par-72 seaside course that was created in 1959 and it is known for its classic layout. The newer course is par-73 Newport Bay Course. It is described as both challenging and enjoyable making it ideal for players of all levels.

Ripley’s Believe it or Not!
If you are looking for a way to get out of the sun, or pass time on a rainy day this is well-worth the cost of admission. Filled with oddities from across the globe, the museum has more than 500 exhibits.

Jolly Roger Amusement Park
Jolly Roger is Maryland’s largest amusement park and it is the perfect place to spend a day with the family. In addition to its dry rides, Jolly Roger also has a water park. The park is reasonably priced and well-kept.
